Oatmeal Cookies

 

Chewy and crunchy, these buttery cookies have a nubby texture from the raw oats. Originating from Scottish/British oat cakes in the late 1800’s, ‘Vanishing Oatmeal Cookies’ were made popular in the US by oatmeal cereal-maker Quaker Oats who listed the recipe on each container of oats.
